Links directory added, blog categories updated

I've added a links directory to the site, something I've been meaning to for quite some time. I collect links to various things over time (don't we all), and have been meaning to "store/share" them on the site for a while. There used to be a few threads collecting links in the forums once upon a time, but I haven't gone looking for them yet. I've only managed to add some LotRO links this afternoon after getting the plugin setup.

Tinkering Again

I haven't updated much around here in a while... but I'm tinkering once again. Finally got around to getting some of the sub-domains working, so now forums.eyelleye.net, gallery.eyelleye.net, and portal.eyelleye.net are working. Nothing (literally) is up at the portal yet, but I've got some ideas of what I want to toss up there. I'm fairly confident I'm the only one that actively visits my corner of the web (except when I don't)... but wanted to let anyone that's visiting know that things are...

It's not just an operating system...

It's a freakin' adventure! And oh what an adventure that turned out to be. I must agree that it is definitely easier to get Ubuntu up and running on a PC that already has Windows installed, but I must also admit that I learned a few things along the way.

I ended up needing to completely clean my primary hard-drive, which was still problematic as it turned out. For whatever reason, whenever my pair of backup drives (raid 1, hardware) were plugged in, I was getting a GRUB error (it...
