WoW: Character equipment back on character select screen.

As you may have noticed, your character's equipment is back on the character selection screen. We're going to be testing the performance over the next few days, and if everything goes well the equipment will remain.

Caydiem (assistant community manager) posted the following on the official forums, which I am sure is related:

If you log in and do not see your characters, please relax. Your characters are safe and sound on the servers, I assure you. Your character list simply isn't displaying on your client. We're working to correct the issue, but in the meantime, please don't post asking if your character is gone -- they're still there, never fear. :)
