Beta-7 (http://www.beta-7.com)
This guy named, Beta-7 has hundreads of writings about how after beta testing NFL 2K4 in First Person mode he's been having blackouts and takling people for no reason. It all seems crazy but must have spent hundreads of hours on the site. He has pics of people with large brusies and has pics of his house completly trashed.
He's got his own consiricy theroy with Sega as the culprit!
See for yourself.
Also check out his movie. It's on the football link at Sega - First Person Football (http://www.ifilm.com/filmdetail?ifilmid=2483630&refsite=6166)

Wow... thats pretty freaky dude! I looked around the site a touch & found it slightly on the "huh?" side of things... but, watching the video at Ifilm.com is a really good sum up... I must say, interesting stuff, thats for sure. Im not a big sports fan anyways, so I doubt Id play the game. Im also not one to buy into conspiracy theories all that much either... but, that said... this one seems definitely on the interesting side!

I found this site today and thought you might want to check it out. Supposedly they've found exploits and guides. Problem is you need to pay to join. $20 for the first month then $2.50 for each month after. They calim to have the steps to becoming a jedi too. (*cough*Not!*cough*)

I've seen other sites like this before. Personally, I hope one of the devs has an account at these types of places, just so they can see what the exploits being used are. Now that they are actively banning accounts for using exploits, I really wont go anywhere near one! I wasn't inclined to before, but... I aint touchin it now! '-)

I find this site to be absolutely facinating. Its all about a guy who claims to be a time traveler from 2036. The site is a collection of postings made to a couple forums in late 2000 & early 2001. True or not, its still quite facinating to read anyways.
There is also: http://johntitor.strategicbrains.com/ but be sure to check out the other site for his actual postings. Additionally, on the first site, they have links to various sites related to this fellah. I havent gone through all of them yet, but Im sure to get to them eventually!

The Royal Tit-Watching (Ornithological) Society of Britain is the oldest of the British Tit-Watching Societies. The society was formed in 1824, by Lord Roylott of Stoke Moran, Surrey. Lord Roylott was himself a distinguished ornithologist, and author of 'A Comparison Of The Short-Distance Migratory Patterns of the Blue, Long-Tailed & Bearded Tits' - a book which Sir Charles Darwin acknowledged was "of immense importance in the formation of my theory of natural selection."

Check out this article on Wolf.com.
Alaska Chooses Aerial Wolf Killing Over Tourism Dollars
Wolf management may be a fact of life in Alaska but the aerial killing of wolves is not going to go over well.
Alaska is calling it aerial wolf hunting. Hunting? Really?
Even an avid sport hunting enthusiast would have trouble calling it hunting.
It consists of flying in a helicopter or plane until a wolf or pack of wolves is spotted and then chasing them until they are too weak from exhaustion to go any further and then shooting them. Call it hunting or anything you want but that doesn't make it anything other than what it is.
Inhumane and Barbaric Slaughter.
Seems like some poeple have found a new hobby. It ranks right up there with NASCAR. (See link NASCAR Rant (http://forum.gtwy.net/viewtopic.php?t=55) )

Inhumane and barbaric slaughter... hmm... Id like to see them muther fuckers go runnin around up there. The problem of it is, is that there are just too damn many wolves at the moment... such that they are dwindling the population of moose and other wildlife. We have a very active and responcible Fish & Game department up here, which isnt necessarily the case for you southern folk (from my vantage point, you're all southern folk). Dealdalus Project (http://nickyee.com/daedalus/)
The survey is best suited towards players who feel addicted to the game. Evercrack player types. Has questions about wheather you feel you would accept $100 for all the objects your character had, if your character's avatar was changed would it bother you, ect.

It's one more way to list as the end of the world then :)
I remember a few years ago now, there was a shortage of petrol (Or "gas" as you Americans call it) due to some kind of event (I think it was a strike)
It only lasted like a week, and the whole country was in deep shit. Supermarkets didn't have the fuel to get their goods to them, people couldn't drive to work, existing stocks in Supermarkets were bought up by panicing people, it was nearly anarchy (Luckily my dad is an Ambulance driver so he got a special priority and could buy petrol when he needed :) )
It made you think though, if people can't manage without the stuff for a week, what will happen when we have to do without it for good?

What I honestly find interesting about the whole bit is the caliber of folks that are talking about this Peak Oil thing... generally lends some credence to it. Not only that, the oil companies are talking about it too... albeit in slightly different lingo. It also helps to explain the iraq invasion to some degree (other than just saying US greedy bastards were after the oil for our own profits)... Overall, some scary shit I think. I clicked the link off the original site I got it off of out of curiosity about what the next nut has to say... well, that and its currently 2 bucks a gallon for petrol/gas here where I live. Hell, I remember when it was less than a buck a gallon.
Personally, I think we're all fucked. So, in the immortal words of Dave Matthews... Lets eat, drink, & be merry, for tomorrow we die.

LOL... then you probably don't want to hear about my purchase a bit ago... maybe a month or so ago (I mentioned it elsewhere I think tho)... Ended up buying the 802.11G router listed above & retired my 802.11B router. Ive still got it, but no longer using it. I upgraded my pci wireless nic's in my PCs to the G version of the cards about the same time. I only had one B series card & sold that to a buddy for 20 bucks. Twas perhaps a bit cheap, but then he does shit for me all the time... plus I got good use outta it, so seemed fair to me. Still, wireless is the only way to go. So much nicer not having cat5 cables strung down my hall... =)

Heh a good quote:
"...in my defence I will say that I have never gone to bed with an ugly woman. Waking up tho..."
I don't know if it's original, I've never heard it before, but I was on a forum and we were discussing how desperate guys can be when this guy says the above, I thought it was brilliant!

Little BILLY was sitting on a park bench munching on one candy bar after another.
After the 6th one, a man on the bench across from him said,
"Son, you know eating all that candy isn't good for you. It will give you acne, rot your
teeth, and make you fat."
Little BILLY replied, "My grandfather lived to be 107 years old."
"Oh?" replied the man. " Did your grandfather eat 6 candy bars at a time?"
"No" replied Little Billy, "he minded his own fucking business!!"
LITTLE BILLY ON...PHILOSOPHY
A teacher asks her class, "If there are 5 birds sitting on a fence and you
shoot one of them, how many will be left?"
She calls on little BILLY.
He replies, "None, they will all fly away with the first gunshot."
The teacher replies, "The correct answer is 4, but I like your thinking."
Then little BILLY says, "I have a question for YOU. There are 3 women
sitting on a bench having ice cream: One is
delicately licking the sides of the triple scoop of ice cream. The second
is gobbling down the top and sucking the cone. The third is biting off the
top of the ice cream. Which one is married?"
The teacher, blushing a great deal, replies, "Well, I suppose the one
that's gobbled down the top and sucked the cone."
To which Little BILLY replied, "The correct answer is 'the one with the
wedding ring on,' but I like your thinking."
LITTLE BILLY ON... MATH
Little BILLY returns home from school and says he got an F in arithmetic.
"Why?" asks the father."
"The teacher asked, 'How much is 2x3?' I said 6," replied BILLY.
"But that's right!" says his dad.
"Yeah, but then she asked me, 'How much is 3x2?'"
"What's the fucking difference?" asks the father?
"That's what I said!"
LITTLE BILLY ON...ENGLISH
Little BILLY goes to school, and the teacher says, "Today we are going to
learn multi-syllable words, class. Does anybody have an example of a
multi-syllable word?"
BILLY says " Mas-tur-bate."
Miss Rogers smiles and says, "Wow, little BILLY, that's a mouthful."
Little BILLY says,
"No, Miss Rogers, you're thinking of a blowjob."
LITTLE BILLY ON...GRAMMAR
One day, during lessons on proper grammar, the teacher asked for a show
hands from those who could use the word "beautiful" in the same sentence
twice.
First she called on little Suzie, who responded with, "My father bought my
mother a beautiful dress and she looked beautiful in it."
"Very good, Suzie," replied the teacher. She then called on little
Michael.
"My mommy planned a beautiful banquet and it turned out beautifully."
The teacher responded, "Excellent, Michael!" Then, she reluctantly called
on little BILLY.
"Last night, at the dinner table, my sister told my father that she was
pregnant, and he said "Beautiful, just fucking beautiful."

You ever get into Lost, Nick?
eyelleye
04-10-2008, 12:20 AM
A little. I picked up the first season on DVD and started watching it and... never managed to finish it. Guess I must be a touch ADD or something because that's pretty typical... start something and get bored and never manage to see it through... Not with everything though, just most things I suppose (this site, prime example... always unfinished. =)
At least you went with vbulletin m8... Been with them for a number of years and I still like em. Really hoping their next major version is a step up though, because the competitors are becoming rather attractive. Before I hop onto another forum / site though, I'm more apt to go IIS/SQL Server again. I had a site on that tech (cost twice as much as this one, literally) and played around with it a bit... but in the end, this was a cheaper prepackaged product. If I have to migrate to another product, might as well go with one I work with day to day instead (costs be damned).
Anyway, I'm sure you have lots of folks helping you out with that shit, but you ever need a hand, shoot me a line. =) I'll do what I can (css tips, or whatever).
Not much into TV shows at the moment. Watching "Axe Men" on Discovery HD about loggers in oregon... kinda cool and then I'm able to finally catch Top Gear on BBC America, which is probably my favorite show and I'm stoked I don't have to download it anymore. We get it late here I reckon (several months at least) but it still looks good on my 57" tv, so I'm happy. Need to get back into BSG though...
btw, whats a fish biscuit?
eyelleye
04-10-2008, 12:49 AM
Note to self... I really need to update this crap hole place and get links in a proper links list... I do wish vbulletin would release a CMS as I have neither the desire nor the time to hand code it, dislike the alternatives and don't really have the desire to port this to aspx.... though I should... guess I'll add this to projects/things to do this fall if they haven't shown improvements by then. One can only wait so long for an easy ass'd solution!

In season 3 of Lost, Sawyer is held captive in a cage designed to hold polar bears. The cage has a feeding mechanism that requires the use of intelligence to operate, and gives electric shocks if it's not done properly. If they succeed (as Sawyer eventually does), fish biscuits are deposited.
Hence the fish-biscuit reference on the website :)
Saw you mention BSG, the first episode of the final season airs tonight in the UK! I think the US gets the third one this week? Not too far ahead of us.
